Say Hello
The great thing about apartment living is that there is always someone around. Given that you share walls with your next-door neighbor, it’s important to say hello and acknowledge each other. While you don’t have to be best friends, keeping a friendly line of communication open is a fantastic way to be a good neighbor.

Keep Your Apartment Clean Inside and Out
Keeping your apartment clean inside and out can help maintain a high standard of living for you and everyone nearby.
Your neighbors are just on the other side of the wall. Meaning if you’re tracking dirt around outside or leaving a mess, your neighbors are likely to experience (or even smell) it as well!
Return Items You Borrow
One of the great things about having an apartment is being able to borrow tools or other items from your neighbors. While sharing is caring, make sure to return any items that you’ve borrowed.
You wouldn’t want your next-door neighbor to keep your belongings for months on end, so make sure to promptly return anything you’ve borrowed as well.
Address Any Concerns Directly
