If you adore Halloween but are trying to figure out how to best celebrate this holiday in your Beechtree Apartments home, we have a few recommendations. Halloween can be a fun holiday for children and adults to celebrate, and it is one of the best holidays for anyone with a killer sweet tooth. If you want to celebrate Halloween in your apartment without disturbing your neighbors or feeling limited by the size of your home, there are plenty of ways to ensure you throw a fabulous party or a great night of trick-or-treating.
Create Your Guest List
Determine who is coming to your Halloween party. Is it adults only? Are you inviting kids and their parents? Most importantly, ensure you invite only a handful of people who can comfortably fit in your apartment home. It can also help to invite nearby neighbors, or at the very least make them aware of your party so they know when they might notice some noise. If you are inviting children, be sure to schedule your party for earlier in the day. Parents don’t want their kids staying up late, and if the party is on Halloween, trick-or-treating is on their schedule for Halloween night.
Have Kids or Pets? Visit Our Trunk or Treat Event!
Another way to celebrate Halloween in your apartment is to participate in Beechtree’s Trunk or Treat Event on October 26th. From 6 pm to 8 pm, join us in the front of building 200 for kid-friendly Halloween festivities. Our event will feature a community candy table, prizes for best trunk and best pet costume, and music by DJ Allen! This community event helps you celebrate Halloween a few days early and bond with your neighbors with fun candy, costumes, and music.
Curate a Creepy Playlist
Celebrate Halloween in your apartment and set the mood with a creepy playlist. Add in themes from famous scary movies like Psycho or The Shining, or add in music from favorite soundtracks to popular entertainment like Stranger Things or Twilight. You can find pre-made playlists on music services or create a new one with your favorites. Anything to get your guests in the chilling Halloween spirit will be enjoyable!
Decorate Safely and Sparingly
You will naturally want to celebrate Halloween in your apartment by bringing out your favorite ghoulish decor. However, you don’t want to clutter your space with decorations or make things unsafe for your guests. Only use battery-powered candles, and focus your decorations on high-impact areas like front doors, balconies, or the food and drinks table. Otherwise, a few string lights or fake cobwebs are enough to create the atmosphere you want.
Provide Tasty Finger Food
The best option for feeding many party guests is to offer a smattering of finger foods for guests to graze on. This way, you don’t have to worry about utensils and different plates or bowls for guests, saving you some money on party supplies. You also avoid the extra mess that can come with more elaborate meals. Finger food also gives you the chance to create themed snacks. Consider things like strawberry ghosts or meatball eyeballs! Plus, you can create homemade drinks like Frankenpunch to provide delicious drink options with a Halloween spirit.
